Optimizing the generation of donations via a cross-media approach
Caritas Switzerland aims to help the poorest people in the world. During the pandemic, it opted for a crossmedia approach to appeal to public solidarity in the most efficient way possible.
In its appeal for donations during the pandemic, the charity organization Caritas relied on stringent crossmedia communication using display ads, e-mailing, a website and direct mailing. Within a week and with great advertising impact, display ads were presented, various e-mails sent out and personalized mailings delivered by post. The goal was to raise Swiss public awareness of the plight of the world’s poorest people and to enable virtual aid parcels to be sent to those affected. The campaign was a resounding success and provided valuable insights into new opportunities for lead generation.
